This is pretty weak but hey, I have no idea what the hell happened. Yesterday I was texting this girl that gave me her number on my yearbook (that I've had a "thing" for for a while). This is the conversation that ensued.
(Our school had gone to an amusement park for graduation)
Me
-Her
Hiya
6:00pm
-Hey
6:15pm
Saw you at the sidewinder, they made it a little worse for the next group though, we pretty much went upside down.
6:17pm
-Oh did yuh see [redacted] throw up on me?
6:18pm
Wait what?
6:18pm
When did he do that?
6:20pm
Well....besides that...how was everything?
6:24pm
-Oh it was like the last ride and i had a blast till... He threw up on me.
6:25pm
I could see how that could be, what ride was it anyway?
6:26pm
-The sidewinder... Last ride we went on...
6:27pm
Ah, I was there the first time you went on. I was in line for the fireball when we had to go to the buses.
6:28pm
For the last time anyway.
6:28pm
Or "one" anyway.
6:29pm
Well either way that sucks that that happened to you.
6:31pm
So, scooting away from that subject what'r you doin' now?
6:52pm
No responses after that.
So, what happened exactly? And should I try texting her today or tomorrow?
-
[quote]Hiya[/quote] That's where you went wrong.
-
The way you're coming across.

You gotta be persistent. Keep texting, eventually you'll win her over
-
She's just bored of you or just not interested. For one you make a mistake of texting her back too quickly and when she doesn't respond you just keep texting. It reeks of desperation. Just move on start fresh with someone else.
-
One day you will learn your lesson young padawan, as I have before you. Do not over-text girls. On the other hand, waiting does suck. After I went to the movies with a girl on tuesday she said she'd text me back about our next date. Still hasn't. But I'm not giving in and texting her.
-
Nope, just wait for her reply. If she doesmt reply, she doesn't want to talk. If you text herand feed your worry like that then you will seem to obsessive. If she doesn't like the way she text, then she won't like you very much at all
-
Edited by asshole : 5/19/2013 4:15:27 AMwoah, way too many texts...she should be the one doing most of the texting/talking. You just need to throw in a something every now and then that continues the conversation
-
Badly. The only thing you can do is stab yourself in the abdomen, and then have your friend behead you when you cry out.
-
Yeah sorry, but you insert way too many texts in-between hers. I would've tried something like this: Hiya 6:00pm -Hey 6:15pm Saw you at the sidewinder, they made it a little worse for the next group though, we pretty much went upside down. 6:17pm -Oh did you see [redacted] throw up on me? 6:18pm Wait what? You were able to get cleaned up properly right? (Wait a few hours for a response by this point, then text with something off-topic, you don't want to text bombard] 6:18pm [Redacted] 6:20pm [Redacted] 6:24pm -Oh it was like the last ride and i had a blast till... He threw up on me. 6:25pm I could see how that could mess up the rest of the day, at least you got everything out of the way before it happened. 6:26pm -[Redacted, you just weren't paying attention here] 6:27pm I was on it the first time with you i think, but next time just ask me to sit besides you. I'd be glad to shield you next time. (After this point say your good-byes and don't spam) 6:28pm That's how i would do it anyways.

You're talking to much and craving a reply. Show some restraint and only message her when you've got a reason to to begin with. Then when you get more acquainted you can start messaging casually and take it from there.
-
Give it a few days.
-
wait 4 years OP then she will never remember that day.
-
You're too desperate.
-
Well, you've shown your interest in her. Wait until SHE shows interest, which probably wont happen but hey... ya never know. Honestly, don't text her again unless she texts you.
-
Wait a while, if she doesn't text back. Text her back with something completely off topic.
-
Leave her alone you psychopath.
