It was awesome, had some truly intense moments where my heart was pumping. Especially the part with the giant bug thing outside the church when I ran out of air and had to make a mad dash to the doors while choking.
Boss battles are iffy though.
Sucks that I didn't get the Achievement for finishing Ranger mode though, bummer!
Anyone else beat it yet? Thoughts?

Edited by Dropship dude: 5/20/2013 11:50:01 AMI played through in its entirety with a stealthy, pacifist approach, always doing the good deeds and earning morality points. However, on the last chapter, I couldn't for the life of me figure out what I was doing wrong against the enemy on the second platform. No matter how many times I shot them I couldn't kill them, until I finally noticed the game very slightly indicates where to shoot. So I restarted the chapter looking to get the achievement for not dying, and it reset my morality points, so I got the bad ending. Miffed. Absolutely miffed. However, I adored the game. Not quite as trippy as 2033, which I like. The graphics on PC were stunning, and I'm surprised my PC could run it so smoothly on highest settings at 2560x1440, considering they advise a GTX 690 just to play it on high (I have a 680). Gameplay was smooth and at a slightly better pace than 2033. I definitely jumped a few hundred times, and some of the boss battles were awesome, especially in The Garden. Overall, I'd give the game a solid 9/10.

Thought we were going to talk about BF3 :(

It really improved on the controls of 2033, and gave a few additions I really enjoyed. Storywise, it was amazing!

I'm still stuck on the first game! I'm in the Library. Unfortunately, I find it difficult to kill the Librarians, and I don't have a lot of oxygen left. It's kind of annoying.

Edited by CostlyAxis: 5/19/2013 11:37:12 PMI was impressed by the game overall, but I felt that it was directing my actions the entire time. I died on the surface a couple times because my mask was damaged and two hits was all it took to break it.
The fight against the bear thing was also frustrating because I ended up having to pour my entire ammo supply into the creature to "kill" it.
There was certainly some awe inspiring scenery going on, and I had to soak in the visuals at time along with some very nice gunplay at times.
