It was a huge mistake to start with such a heavy emphasis on multi-media, In fact, Sony's stock jump happened within the first ten minutes of the press conference.

Exactly. They released a game console with a MINIMAL emphasis on games. Hell, even Halo has been reduced to a TV show!!! What a JOKE!

I know, they thought it was a good idea to reveal the multimedia options and talk about games later, next time, they'll ask stock holders.

I would actually expect this reveal to PLEASE stockholders. It's a multi-media device, and that has a broader appeal than just a game console... but maybe they were pissed because everyone was expecting a GAME console.
