Halo 4 is now at a peak daily population of ~24,000 people. Despite what the average person might think, or what the Metacritic score may say, it's a dying game and a dying series. Do you think that subsequent games and this new Steven Spielberg venture can save the series? If so, do you think that the show will help more so than the new games? Will it help at all?
Whatta you think Gaming Forum?

Halo is finished, I don't really understand how people can't see that. Time to accept it and move on folks, it had a great run. But all good things must come to an end.
-
I'd ask what will save the Xbox One.
-
Only 343 can save Halo and having screwed H4 up, they need to work fast. They need to remove: AA, Sprint, DMR, specilsations, bring back de-scoping and the 4SK BR.
-
I'd like to hope Halo 5 can save the franchise, but I don't think it will. I will buy it, but this time I am not going to get my hopes up.
-
Only 343 can save it, but I can't picture 343i doing anything different from Halo 4. Especially because of the GDC conference.

I'm starting to think its the end of it all sadly .
-
I think Microsoft expected the other way around: H4 would save Xbox One. Bit of a miscalc.
-
no it's dead. Why would I buy Halo 5 on a console that requires daily internet DRM to keep playing the campaign. No thanks. Halo is over for me. I wasn't happy with Reach and Halo 4 anyways so whatever. Time to move on. At least I can still play Halo CE because newsflash it requires no internet at all and never will.

A new console won't "save" the series. Lets be real here. The only things that needs to be fixed is the gameplay. Nothing more, nothing less.
-
we've come full circle haven't we? Halo CE saves the Xbox and now we need the Xbox One to save Halo
-
Only if it's made Halo.

Whoever spelled Jurassic Park wrong in that hashtag has my permission to die.

I don't see how a tv series or a new console can make the game better. That responsibility lies elsewhere.
-
The only ones who can save Halo is 343, and they have shown a vast amount of incompetence already so I wouldn't hold your breath.
-
Every day people say something will revive Halo's population. To answer your question OP: No.

Turning Halo into a TV show is just the latest nail in the coffin for Halo as a franchise. It doesn't breathe new life in to it, it just kills it more thoroughly.
