Lets show Bungie we want this released for PC.
Not to mention the audience just isn't there for FPSs on PC. The costs probably didn't outweigh the benefits.

The reason the audience is not there is because all the games recently have been a big disappointment. Most of the time the campaign mode is great and the Multiplayer sucks. Everyone(PC users) is tired of the small maps with very limited objectives. If you really want to see numbers. Steam has over 20 million registered users with an average of 2.5 million active players. Bungie wants to make this the next greatest series, it needs to include us PC gamers or it will fail.
Edited by Mindshard: 7/26/2013 5:10:49 AMLike I've said in other threads since they've officially stated no keyboard & mouse support for consoles I highly doubt they'd release it on a system with that as the primary input method. Not only that, you're looking at additional costs for server hosting for PC players which I imagine is why they've said they have no plans for it at this time, but may consider it in the future.

PC Please Please Please. =P

Combat Evolved and Halo 2 were both released on PC, and there's a possibility these games and Halo 3 will be put up on Steam, but I doubt Destiny will be coming to our desktops any time soon. From this IGN article (http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/02/17/bungies-destiny-a-land-of-hope-and-dreams?page=1)
We made [Halo] run without a mouse and keyboard, and now nobody plays [first-person shooters] the old way anymore because they don’t want to.
If that doesn't make their stance clear, I'm sure I read something by Bungie that went along the lines of "we make console games" somewhere too, but I couldn't find it.

I truly want this game on PC but it's starting to look like Bungie may not have any plans for PC and that they are focusing mostly on consoles. I wouldn't mind if there is a PC release a few months down the road from the initial release. Shame on them if they never release Destiny for PC.

Is it worth the effort to put the game on the PC when people are ultimately going to complain about how the game is held back to be on par with the console version?
-
Would you still want it if you had to pay a subscription?
-
its not going to be on the PC

I'm pretty sure they know since you're only the 47373585848385949293594383858482nd person to mention it.

I'm a console user and I say yes simply because it would extend the years this franchise will live, mods will give Bungie ideas on what the community really wants, and if I ever decide to go PC, Bungie will be there for me.

I don't really care one way or another. Adding PC into the mix creates a lot more work and support needed for the game. It also requires a lot more control and security. Not to mention the audience just isn't there for FPSs on PC. The costs probably didn't outweigh the benefits.

Sure, why not. PC is cool.
-
Bungie would be silly to not make a PC version.

I do not know anybody who does not have a PC or Laptop at home. I know plenty who do not have a XBox.

This would be the perfect replacement for Halo 2, which ends next month (June 2013). Most of us are looking for a good game to play on PC. Bungie seems to want to out do itself on the Halo franchise, this would be perfect timing for us and them. A lot of us have tried play other games like COD,BF,L4D,Crysis, etc. None of them have impressed us enough to switch. This game looks very promising to us. I hope they listen and thanks for your support.

I'm a console player and I'm all in for people to be able to enjoy it on the platform of their choice, the more the merrier.

I am an Xbox and PC gamer myself. With that in mind, I think PC gamers need to be shown a little humility I would say console only if it were up to me.
