18 year old arrested for same-sex relationship started when both were minors.

This is ridiculous and I'm struggling to see how this even happens. Where's the public interest argument?
A 17 year old and a 15 year old are in a relationship. One turns 18 and suddenly she's arrested? This is grade A stupidity, unenforceable and someone selectively applying the law in response to parents angry that their daughter prefers other girls. Honestly, how many parents would have done this to an 18 year old boyfriend?

2 RepliesDoes statutory -blam!- only based on the age difference or that something happened? because there was nothing about not having consent? I don't know... I haven't seen parents arrest and 18 year old boyfriend but I've seen a lot force their kid to split up a relationship with one and vice versa with an 18 year old girlfriend. I mean I've had a friend get kicked out of her home for having a girlfriend but I mean they wouldn't arrest her...
