18 year old arrested for same-sex relationship started when both were minors.

This is ridiculous and I'm struggling to see how this even happens. Where's the public interest argument?
A 17 year old and a 15 year old are in a relationship. One turns 18 and suddenly she's arrested? This is grade A stupidity, unenforceable and someone selectively applying the law in response to parents angry that their daughter prefers other girls. Honestly, how many parents would have done this to an 18 year old boyfriend?

1 ReplyEdited by Jaevric: 5/24/2013 6:08:26 AMThis case is rapidly becoming more complicated. NYT reports that the relationship began when Kaitlyn Hunt was already 18. In light of the new information NYT reported regarding the case and plea bargain offered, the plea is a great option.
