I plan on choosing Exo so I have no idea if you can assign a race to them due to them being robots.
However, assuming we can select a race for them, definitely male.

I think they are more like cyborgs, with a robotic exterior, hence "Exo" as in exoskeleton, because supposedly the Exos and Awoken both originated from the normal human race. Maybe it had something to do with the big apacolypse event or whatever.
