I posted this on 4chan a while ago and thought it would be more useful, and permanent, here.

-- Xbox One Cons
>It's a Cable Box
>Always Online DRM (I guess console gamers don't get why this sucks)
>Kinect must be connected and functional
>Non-Replaceable hard drive
>Fee for trading games
>No more renting games
>Not Backwards Compatible
>probably Costs as much as a higher end PC
-- PS4 Pros
4k Compatability with software update
Hardware actually worth the price PS have previously been
Blu-Ray
Video Game
-- PS4 Cons
Software still a Blu-Ray player
Console will probably be more expensive than previous consoles
Exclusive games (always a con guys, don't buy into exclusives, simply Sony paying people to keep it away from microsoft).
A second computer, with heavy software limits.
-- PC Pros
Many more games that are just not available on console
Mods
Graphics can be higher than console
Freedom of hardware
Also can be used as a computer.
-- PC Cons
High End PC's can run you for 3x the price of a console (however 300 is sufficient to play any console level games.
Requires a stronger internet connection
Harder to play with friends (unless networked through skype)
Thousands of Exclusives (again exclusives are always a con, but this one is almost a pro)
Doesn't come with a handheld controller
-- Wii U Pros
Zelda, Mario, Metroid, WeeGee yadayada
Very social console
Games you can play with your parents
-- Wii U Cons
Cutesy games
Exclusive game console
Odd controls
Two Separate hardware pieces
Tablet doesn't always communicate right

Edited by Prototape: 5/27/2013 5:14:53 AMSome of your cons are based on opinion, but generally it seems like a fair list. Specifically: Xbox:
>It's a Cable Box
I don't like it, you don't like it, but some people do. It could be a pro for some people.
>Costs as much as a higher end PC
This one's not something I have a complaint with necessarily, but I don't recall them releasing a price for it?' PS4:
Exclusive games
Some people go insane over exclusives. I don't quite understand it, and in general I think it's a shame that gaming has becomes such a divided niche. But again, it's mostly opinion on this one. Some people like the ammunition exclusives give to them for their arguments on the internet. PC:
Requires a stronger internet connection
Eh, that depends on what game you're playing and how close you are to the people hosting the server. But in general, you're right.
Thousands of Exclusives (again exclusives are always a con, but this one is almost a pro)
At least it's not usually a marketing ploy. Developing for the PC is just easier, and a lot of games being released on the PC these days are from start-up companies.
Doesn't come with a handheld controller
The ever-lasting controller vs. keyboard/mouse battle. That's based on preference mostly. I usually find that I need a controller more when a console port to PC is poorly optimized for the keyboard and mouse such as Dark Souls. But even then, controllers for the PC usually don't cost much. I got a 360 style gamepad for $20, and it's amazing. Wii U: I don't know anything about it, so I can't really say anything for or against it or your points on this one. I have to commend you on how you got the price of a decent PC right. Most people say something along the lines of "IT'LL COST YOU $3,000 TO GET A MID-TIER PC".
