Title
When writing a long message, the message box extends below the bottom of the page, making the send message button inaccessible
Description
See image. Note that I've had to break a message down into a series of smaller chunks to send it. And I can't reach the drag thing to shrink the text box either.
Repro steps
Open up inbox. Go to conversation. Type long message.
Results
Unable to get to the send message button.
Expected results
I dunno, really. Maybe a scroll bar in the message box, rather than making it extend.
Notes
When the message box extends, for a brief moment (too brief to screencap) there is a scrollbar. Then it disappears.
It's been pointed out that by zooming out I can find the send message button. Very convenient.
OS: Win8
Browser: Chrome 27.0.1453.94 m
Addons: Adblock. (Just switched it off and the problem persisted.)

Interesting issue. I can't repro, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I'll fire off a bug, but in the mean time write shorter novels.

Oh, the message box can only take so many characters (I assume 10k), but there's no indication of number of characters remaining like there used to be.

I have the same issue. Partly it's to do with vertical resolution - when zoomed (Chrome is telling me 125%) in enough to stop there being massive wasted space at the sides of the screen the PM viewer's send button is actually below the screen - and this is in a heavily stripped down Firefox with nothing but the tab bar and url bar. The drop down nature and the fact the forum seems poorly laid out for 1366x768 (2nd most common resolution after 1920x1080) make this more than a bit irksome for PMs of any length. Given that 40% of monitors according to the steam hardware survey are 1366x768 or smaller, this seems like a problem. Would it not be possible to bring in a system similar to Facebook where there is a drop down notification, but click on the conversation brings you to a new page instead? It's wholly unsatisfying trying to discuss economics by PM with Telec when I have to either zoom out or plug my laptop into a 1080p monitor to use PMs worth a damn. But good lord the writing on this site is tiny at 100% zoom rather than 110 or 125%. I don't care about blue space, I really don't.

It does actually have a scroll bar in it, you just have to resize the text box to find the send button, annoyingly. (in Firefox, at least)
