So my sister just told me she was selling all her PS2 games so I went to see what was there and in the pile I noticed some of my old ones in there so I quickly grabbed them and took them away.
I'll likely never play them again, but I just couldn't bear to see them go.
So yeah do you feel a certain sense of attachment to your old games, or are you happy to see the last of them?

You can say that. Im sad i dont have any of my old games. SNES, NES, Sega, Atari. :( me sad.
-
Yes, clearly. Halo: CE, Halo 2 and… All Halo games in fact.

Edited by halo: 5/30/2013 2:52:29 PMWhy would anybody sell their games? They are barely worth anything used and they are pretty much priceless. I can pay 5 bucks on the virtual console to play Mario Bros, but I would much rather have my physical NES copy. I have never sold a game and I never will. My great grandchildren will find my vast collection of 70 years of gaming, discovering games they never heard of like Dark Souls "from back in the early 2000s woah", and Super Mario 64 "this comes from all the way back in the 1900s holy crap" and thank me for keeping them. Selling them all is not worth it at all. I found my dead grandpas collection of old stuff. Some people may think my descendents will not appreciate my old games, but I was interested in stuff like just seeing his old report card, a badge, and stuff like that. Idk, maybe my descendants will find my collection boring, but if that's the case, I hope one of them is a nerd so I can just will it all to him/her.

Halo CE (the original) still gives me goose bumps sometimes and lately I play TES3 Morrowind quite a lot. Furthermore CoD 2 and Freelancer are total LAN-party classics among my friends, though we hardly find the time have such a party in these days.
-
I guess so.
-
If the game has entertained me or if it has caused me to feel happy, angry, or sad, I will refuse to sell it.
-
I only sell games that are huge disappointments, games I know I will never play again. That has only happened a few times, other than those select titles, I have kept all my old games. I could never part ways with Shadows of the Empire or Rogue Squadron. Hell, I was playing my N64 less than four months ago.

I collect old games from my child hood. Expensive, but totally worth it. Some I haven't even played, some I buy and let sit there.

Edited by TGI Skuldier: 5/30/2013 11:54:41 AMYeah. I keep all of my old consoles and games. I got tired of playing Halo 4 last night so I changed pace and played Ghostbusters on my Genesis. Also I have that same Gray Fox.
-
I never get rid of them, if that's what you mean. You never know when you'll get the urge to go back and play some Knights of the Old Republic or Morrowind.
-
Edited by Kafuu Chino: 5/30/2013 6:46:33 AMI could never bring myself to get rid of my PS2 Ace Combat games, even though I gave my PS2 to a family member.
-
Edited by Lancifer: 5/30/2013 6:39:57 AMI'm never sentimental enough to hold onto my games in the long run, so I've learned to "Trade" them in at Gamestop after I've played them thoroughly. In fact, I am trading in all five of my PS3 games, all accessories, and my PS3 just so I can afford the new PS4 and Destiny. With the deals Gamestop is running, I should get around $200 in-store credit. Yep, to hell with sentiments when I can get the PS4 that much easier (and make all new memorable gaming moments).

Mine would be AOE I and II, way too memories to ever through out the discs for those...
-
Halo: CE will the best man at my wedding. Halo 4'll probably crash it.
-
Nah. I don't play a lot of old games. Just every now and then
-
I still play the old Halo games for bouts of nostalgia
-
yes. i loath the day my brother sold my copies of need for speed underground 2, mech assult, and star wars: republic commando. oh, and road rash for the sega genisis
-
Nope. Thanks to a certain medical condition I don't really ever feel emotion. Lots of rage actually but that's because of the BPD.
-
Damn right I do.
-
I have every original N64 game. Okay, maybe not EVERY game, but close to it.
-
Used to, but I honestly like digital distribution such as Nintendo's VC service on Wii/Wii U and 3DS.
-
Yes, I still have most of my N64 games and I keep all my consoles and the boxes they came in.
-
Hell, I still play my old games anyway. As of late there's been nothing good to play or nothing I could buy just yet, and so I find myself wandering through my library of old games, playing through them and having a grand old time with the fun from a bygone age.
-
Some games, yes.
-
To a certain extent. I plan to hang onto my Mass Effect games, but I think I'll probably upgrade my metal gear games to the Metal Gear Legacy collection because of that HD, better camera controls, and one case to hold them all.
-
Yeah I've got a few games that I'm attached to, they wouldn't be worth much to trade in anyway so best keep them :)
