Every single game save for ODST and Halo Wars had Spartans as a main character and you could even argue that Halo Wars did have ones as main characters so only one Halo game has had nothing to do with Spartans. Every single book besides the forerunner trilogy has had a spartan as a main part of the story.
Now I don't mind Spartans, they're badass and awesome but they're all over the god damn place. Until halo 4 they're were never more than 30 or so operating at a time. (Ya, I know SIIIs but they usually got wiped out on suicide missions anyway)
The games always have always handled the marines and ODSTs very poorly because who needs help from them when you're a walking tank. All I'm asking for is a few games that have the focus on the battles fought by the Marines and ODSTs and even the Navy. We don't get much in the way of space battles because Spartans do their work on the ground for the most part.

I remember when Master Chief was known as the last of his kind.

Let me ask you a different question: Why would I want to play a Halo game as someone other than a Spartan?
-
What if for a spin-off game you played as a Grunt fighting against the Spartans?

Edited by DragonzZilla: 6/5/2013 2:08:27 PMAs Seananners put it, Triple-A Games are too afraid to take risks, to stem from what they know will get them money. That's why Indie Games can be a breath of fresh air.

Halo is (and has always been) WAY too human-centric in general. I want a greater emphasis on the Covenant races and Forerunners (especially after Bear's phenomenal Forerunner Saga).
-
Well that's sorta the center of Halo, the spartans are the main characters of the franchise. It's meant to be that way.

Only spin offs should have no Spartans.
