Will Destiny feature splitscreen for the online "total space exploration" mode

I share a 360 with my little brother. Im getting a job this summer and Im gonna get an xbox one. Im not sure if he'll pay half and destiny is OBVIOSLY the best game coming to the new platform. Im just wondering if spitscreen will be supported for the entire game not just like a "multiplayer matchmaking" mode like Halo or COD

If Destiny is not splitscreen I will be pissed. I am too excited for this game to learn only either me or my brother can play at 1 time.
