Movie Idea: Christy Durham is a down-on-her-luck college student working a summer job at a local fast food chain. One night, unbeknownst to her, the head coach for the US women's national curling team stops into her store for a burger and sees Christy sweeping. He is immediately impressed by her technique. His star player has just gotten injured in a freak broom incident, and in desperate need of a replacement for the upcoming world championship, invites her to join the team. The US, having lost to their bitter rivals (Canada) the past five years in a row, goes undefeated in the championship and Christy's story inspires the US to embrace curling and they remain the curling powerhouse of the world for decades because of her.
