To my understanding, the Wii U is similar in capabilities to the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Why is Destiny being released for those consoles, but not the Wii U?
-
Unfortunately the trend for Nintendo has been a lack of 3rd party support.
-
Nintendo aim for a younger audience, but if destiny was on Nintendo products, bungie would make so much more money as more people have the wii than any other console.
-
Oh you.
-
-
Because the wii sucks fat loose hair butthole
-
for good reasons i think
-
I think it would sell better if it would be on the regular Wii
-
Sales wouldn't even boost 3%.
-
I Don't think Nintendo's servers could even handle the game.
-
I would like to see Destiny for Sega Dreamcast

The Wii U is a 3.5 gen console in a 8th gen world.

Edited by Chris: 6/16/2014 2:13:01 AMYou know what's a better question? Why is there no true Pokemon game for any of Nintendo's consoles?!
-
Because it's a shit system for 5 year olds
-
Shooters just aren't that good on the Wii U. Trust me, I own one.
-
-
I feel It totally could happen but destiny is focusing on the system with more intense games on it but with assassins creed 3 on it and batman it may come out with the PC version if it does
-
I was wondering about this for while now. the Hardware IS strong enough! the network infrastructure, while not as polished as psn or xbl, is present, working and FREE for consumers few third parties on the wiiu is actually a major advantage for any third parties that want in IF they properly market the thing (little competition) enough WiiUs have sold (6.17 million units so far) so the question still stands: WHY NOT?
-
Because the Wii U sucks. Honestly, I don't think anyone expects Destiny on the Wii U. Waste of time.
-
-
Are you shot?
-
Nintendo doesn't have a good online infrastructure. They have capabilities but nothing near psn and live.
-
Because the wii u is mostly comprised of kiddies who just want to play Mario. Also the wiiu has had crappy sales, Bungie is working their asses off trying to get it for the main consoles. They're not making a PC version, despite the fact that it would undoubtedly make them millions. If they are not making it for the PC, why the hell would they make it for wiiu?
-
They already have a lot on their hands.
Four consoles already. And possible PC. They're going for the most popular consoles. Sorry though.
Edited by Charlemagne: 12/7/2013 10:13:33 PMMost people posting here are wrong. Nintendo has no issue with dark, graphic, mature games. Unfortunately for them however, the Wii U doesn't have the online capabilities that the other consoles have. It also isn't build around shooters so it wouldn't play as well. It's ActiVision and Bungie's decision in the end. It's hard to develop for so many consoles.

Wow! All it takes is to look at the replies to this topic to see that maturity and video games do not go together. The main people saying Nintendo consoles are for kids are the ones behaving like immature little brats themselves on the internet. How does someone wanting Destiny on WiiU hurt them in any way? I agree with SurprisedRICK in that there really isn't any logical reason why Destiny shouldn't be on Wii U. Especially if it is coming to PS3/XB360. I own a Wii U, and I enjoy playing games on the hardware. If Destiny was to be announced on WiiU. That is the platform that I would be buying it for. I really don't plan on buying a new console anytime soon, so if there is no WiiU version announced, and the PS3 version doesn't look decent. Maybe I won't buy Destiny at all.
