To my understanding, the Wii U is similar in capabilities to the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Why is Destiny being released for those consoles, but not the Wii U?
-
Because the Wii U is garbage.
-
Im pretty sure its that Nintendos internet isnt very good
-
Becuz Wii U has Super Nintendo graphics
-
there's no market for it, Bungie would then have to learn exactly how to develop a game for the Wii, and most probably, Nintendo didn't even attempt to get it developed for the Wii U. After the gamecube, Nintendo gave up on third party games. I still think they can rock it with some of their first party franchises, but there's honestly no reason to actually have a Wii U besides Mario, Metroid, Zelda, DK, or because you have a child in your house.
-
Because it's Nintendo
-
If destiny even tried running on the wii u the wii would explode
-
I am sorry to inform you, but Wii U has no similar capabilities as Xbox 360 nor PlayStation 3 since it exceeds them terms of performance, supported features, architecture and other areas. Wii U's online is fine, if they want social aspect of it then Bungie can integrate Miiverse like Sonic Lost World is integrating if that is an important aspect of Destiny. Please do not listen to PlayStation or Xbox brand fans since they are of course biased...

Wii if -blam!-in retarted your must have aladean aids to play it wii must have a sign in code for your aids #becky I herd then wii has restrictions like you can't play used games and if you don't scan your aids with the controller it locks up and you can't play

The reason that Destiny would not work on the WiiU is simply because the WiiU lacks something important that all the other major systems have: A reliable online gaming system. While the WiiU is pretty close to the current gen systems, hardware-wise, it doesn't have a setup anywhere close to Xbox LIVE or PSN. Add to that the very small user-base of the WiiU due to Nintendo's terrible job marketing the console, and there really is no good reason to even attempt porting a game like Destiny over to it.
-
Because it doesn't sell.

-
bbycakes plz.
-
While the wii U out performs the ps3 and 360, it is nowhere near capable of what the ps4 and X1 can do. Destiny is the only title being released on the ps3 and 360, every other title in the series will be next gen only and it is likely the future titles will be more than what the wii U can handle. So why release an individual title for a platform that could not receive its sequels.
-
How do people like this even know how to use a computer?
-
Because the Wii U doesn't have enough swag to run a game with all that swag.
-
Edited by BBWATT: 9/10/2013 6:12:54 AMCause Nintendo needs to get its online S#$t sorted out. Gr33n is completely right, the Wii U's online infrastructure is non-exsistant . Nintendo's leadership is utterly incompetent, they just doesn't get it . The Wii U will likely fail without third party titles like Destiny.
-
I'm sorry but I don't believe that the Wii U can hold it. Nintendo is losing games as they aren't competing with Sony or Microsoft.
-
WOW nintendo is going downhill and why is this kid posting on an Xbox and PS4 website?
-
Looks like Rick is surprised.
-
Wii U sucks.

The extremely childish and tech illiterate responses repeated by sheep trying to fit in and be edgy are just sad.
-
No offense, but is that a serious question?
-
The Wii U has a very small demographic of core gamers. They would surely lose money after all of the manufacturing costs.
-
I don't think activision makes wii U games
-
Not really. The Wii U is backward-compatible to the original Wii, meaning that the hardware itself might not really updated and be good enough to run Destiny.
