Or I should say, start a new character? Not change your characters traits obviously, but just start anew with someone else.

You can do that, have multiple characters just like mmos

Thank you your the first person I've seen that isn't completely bananas about the idea of destiny having mmo elements that turns a lot of people off for some reason

I'm actually excited about Destiny because of them, in fact I have a hard time not calling it an mmo. I love the idea of being in a world where most of the friendly NPCs are other players. But I don't have a good enough computer to play any games let alone giant mmos, and I don't have the money to play pay to play games. So even though Destiny isn't actually an mmo, I can finally play something like one.
