Should there be rankings in Destiny.

I don't know if this question has already been answered, but should there be rankings (classes) in the new Destiny game?

There is visible ranking as displayed on the E3 Demo. As for PVP I'd imagine it's there but I hope Bungie gives the players the options to show case it or not.
