Halo PC
Now we all know the Halo Combat Evolved (Halo 1) had an HD remake for Xbox 360. But it was also available on PC so why didn't PC get an HD retail? Well that's where we modders come into play.
I'll let the video talk to you. It is a Beta, and you do need a pretty beefy computer to run this mod.

2 RepliesWell. 343i can't really mess up the Halo series because I hear they're going by the comics. Adding to that, they are amazing at creating visual's and has helped Bungie out a lot in their previous games. Microsoft on the otherhand I agree with. They even went into shutting down the Halo 2 servers. Very money hungry company. Then again you have to remember that without Microsoft, we wouldn't have this advanced technology. Also, there are still a couple hundred people who still play Halo Combat Evolved. As well as Halo Custom Edition which is the mod enabled version. (Requires active Halo Combat Evolved key to install) If you want to find a group of people to play with I can refer you to two mod forums. http://www.opencarnage.net/ http://forum.halomaps.org/

1 ReplyI'd rather see the community stay alive and produce this stuff. 343i will just mess it up some way ...And that would just be milking the series not to mention M$ want Halo as an xbox exclusive. This is coming from someone who plays Halo CE almost everyday online. Pc of course. Man we should have a community carnage of that game. PLEASE!
