Concerning Battlefield 4...
All ye of the gaming community gather around, as there is an important matter we must discuss. Ye all knoweth that Battlefield 4 will be releasing in the upcoming months. These art dark times, as squeakers will be joining the Battlefield community. In fact some have already sheathed their claws into Battlefield 3; look how that has turned out.

As you all can see, Battlefield 4 is at the top for both the Xbox One and PS4. We all know that at least a good half of the gaming community who plays on consoles are squeakers; be it they have their own console, or that their using a relatives. So you can't deny that a good chunk of these pre-orders are coming from the 12 and under community, or at least their parents.
Gentlemen, prepare your anuses for the shit-storm that will occur late October through December; as we know that all consoles will have BF4, but the Xbox One and PS4 won't get the game till sometime in November and December.
#RIP the old Battlefield Community.

The real question here is... Will BF4 remain at the top of pre-order charts after CoD: Ghosts starts getting crazy amounts of advertisements? Either way I'm impressed that something has a chance to top that silly CoD franchise.

I don't care, I will still play a game that lets tear down a skyscraper. Besides, aren't console communities usually terrible?

Gaming communities on mainstream games in general are crap, CoD, battlefield, Halo, it doesn't matter how old they are, they're all douches.

Edited by TheKaged: 6/22/2013 6:01:28 PM"Squeakers" were never the problem. I was 13 when Halo 2 came out, and there weren't many 20-something bro douchebags yelling obscenities at me because of my voice. Game communities are dead because of the xbox live party system.

Im slightly offended for younger people and confused as to why you have a problem with kids and higher pitch voices. If you are serious about maintaining a community of age purity, get a PC. But in both communities, PC and Console you dont even have to hear other peoples voices if you dont want to, you dont even have to play with people you dont wish to play with. Get a Team or Squad and go into private/party chat. If you are worried about the skill level being watered down by children, I kinda think you miss characterize them because they are easy targets. Ive ran into tons of kids that are complete beasts and even more that can easily work with a team if some twenty-something gave them a break. But developing a bit of empathy and social skills enough to cooperate as a team regardless of who they are seems to be hard for most people I guess. Great and Garbage players come in all ages and vocal ranges.

It might be worth noting that you can get Battlefield 1942 for free now. That game is still pretty active. I stopped playing Battlefield after BC2 (seriously, anyway). Battlefield 2: Modern Combat was great, imo.

2 RepliesLol, 'RIP old Battlefield Community 2002-2013'? You clearly weren't part of that 'old Battlefield community', or you'd know it died a long time ago. The divide started during Bad Company and BF3 sealed the fracturing.
