As we all know Halo is amazing! A classic FPS that will be remembered by generations to come. But, has it become a marketing tool for Microsoft? I believe (Just my opinion here) that the overproduction of Halos (Halo:Spartan assault, Halo: Bootcamp, and Halo 5) show proof that Halo has just become another money maker for big game producers. Of course there was plenty of merchandise before but all of that was just what Bungie did. They spread the story out of your T.V into your books and toys. Leave a comment on what you think.

They're going to milk Halo until it is a dried up husk waiting for death. Fact of life. Get used to it with all successful franchises from now on.

Microsoft is all about the money

As humans we're driven by things like greed, that want for more. What helps us is a focus, philosophically. We constantly re-use, re-treat, recycle... then re-contaminate, everything we thought we loved. Keeping franchises small and "reality" big is ever increasing everywhere, yes, even video games. It is my opinion that strong science-fiction is important to all of us. It always has been, so why limit it when good things come to pass. We've always been onto the next big thing, what happens when we run out of ideas? What happens when there isn't anything up that hill. Food for thought.

There will always be people who want more halo but i've had enough of the franchise to be satisfied walking away from it.

Halo died when 343 dropped the pile of crap that is H4.
-
Its a tool for microsoft now. 343's just like Activision/IW for halo now.
-
Bootcamp was code name for Spartan Assault.
-
Edited by The Random: 6/25/2013 4:08:22 PMHalo should have ended with Halo 3. Everything that came after was sub-par when compared with the original trilogy.
-
Spartan Assault being Exclusive to Windows 8 Tablets and Phones crossed the line.
-
I am worried that the amassed games and title will over saturate the populous of gamers watering down the main experience, I hope 343 can keep the tide at bay, Microsoft really just wants the money
-
Microsoft wants halo to have a halo 7, halo 8, and halo 9 which is clearly milking
-
Spartan assault crossed the line.

I can't wait to see more and more of the Halo universe. As long as the new games keep being good, then there shouldn't be a problem. Lore is the main appeal for me, anyway. Wouldn't mind some more books, too, though.
-
So I want yes or no answers people should Halo stop at Halo 25 or keep going?
-
I'll take all I can get.

Halo: Bootcamp was the working title for Spartan Assault. They are not 2 different games. How exactly is Halo being "overproduced"? The only game in the series that has had less than a 3 year dev-cycle is ODST (which, funnily enough, is my favourite of the series) and Halo has always been a "money maker for big game producers". Halo is Microsoft's own Doctor Who, if they want to market the franchise to appeal to a wider audience then that's down to them and as long as they keep pushing out quality products then why shouldn't they do it?
