Really, I think this could be a really cool idea Imagine if you could buy a Bungie t-shirt of any of the avatars on the site including any of your archived Halo emblems A high-res version of the avatar would be used and maybe even some of the more popular ones could get their own more custom designs other than just the avatar slapped on a t-shirt.
