Rare and if anyone says they are still about then you clearly don't know how awesome they used to be before Microsoft -blam!- the everloving shit out of them. The games and innovation that came from Rare before it's soul was ripped out and tossed out to the garbage was something few developers achieved in my opinion. BUT if you want to be literal and want a developer studio that was shut down, I was going to say Free Radical but that is Crytek UK now so that doesn't count. I would have to say Westwood Studios because EA have butt-blam!-ed Command and Conquer to HELL.
