Edited by VerticalGradient: 7/4/2013 6:05:31 AMI practiced Tae Kwon Do for 5 or 6 years. Because a friend of mine was. Don't really know much of other martial arts, but I think they can all be used to lethal effectiveness. Maybe some more than others. You hear more about Krav Maga, various Jujutsu, Muay Thai, and stuff like that than Tae Kwon Do or something, y'know? Honestly, if I were to go back into studying martial arts I'd pick one of the other ones I mentioned. Granted I was only a kid at the time and I only practiced for several years, I'm no means an expert, but I think in a legitimate fight Tae Kwon Do might leave something to be desired in comparison. Sure it's useful no doubt but from what I remember, it lacked in several areas.

Want to learn? Most likely something practical for use in an actual fight. No idea what that would be. I did do several years of karate.
