Read it thoroughly so in one short article MS confirms: 1.) The kinect does indeed collect info. 2.) Cannot be powered off independently from the console, which is something i think most knew..but the fanboys wanted to pretend that was not the case. now they cannot argue that point anymore. 3.) The console and MS in general have more interest in reaching "other" demographics, they are unconcerned with core gamers. 4.) A major design consideration in both the kinect and the console is advertising 5.) they believe that the consumer will tolerate invasive ads as part of the "experience"
