wow all this Nintendo bashing ....
ill put it this way , if your mommies and daddies hadn't played NES in their basements as kids you wouldn't have shit to play with now , cause video games in their present form would never exist .
Nintendo influenced multiple generations of gamers , and are the main reason you have to thank for home consoles, so bear that in mind the next time you brats wail on its games....

Just because Nintendo was important in the past doesn't make them inherently relevant to today's gaming climate.
-
just like your posting on a two month old post isn't relevant , hey what an amazing coincidence right ?
-
OP bumped the post, so its relevant now
-
I still don't give a shit , it not like you have to answer it , I make a point of never responding to any thread that is more than a month old , now be gone with you and let this die.
-
Well if I like the thread I'll respond just because I can, and it makes OP happy

I agree with u, the only reason why every one seems to hate Nintendo now is because the wii didn't do well and now they don't trust the wii u even though it's about just as good as the other consoles in the current generation
-
That's the the thing, it's an 8th gen console that is only up to par with the 7th gens, and the online is lacking (even though people hate them) EA is already starting to pull out of the Wii U because it just is barely online to them. Even though Nintendo are basically the original gaming company, they are stuck in the past, and their consoles are outdated by the time they are released.
-
Do you have any experience with the platform?
-
Look at the date for my post: July 2013. Do you not see that my post was from last year? Anyways, still stand by my statement. The Wii U is not up to par with the X1 or PS4 which both of those aren't up to par with modern gaming PCs.

Nevermind any of the consoles that were released before during and after that had nothing to do with Nintendo. Sega was arguably the better system alongside Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Nintendo 64.
-
I don't really like saga there is way to many extremely annoying games for it and it's hard to pick good games out of the group
-
Altered beast, sonic, battle toads, bomber man, and many many many more.
-
i guess I've been cursed to only find the bad saga games

I guess I'm just unlucky when it comes to buying sega games

if it was better it wouldn't have gotten out of the console business ,whilst Nintendo has been in it nearly thirty years . and yes their were others , but as I said it was the main reason , not the only one , the fact is it was best-selling gaming console of its time, and the NES helped revitalize the US video game industry following the video game crash of 1983 and set the standard for subsequent consoles of its generation. With the NES, Nintendo introduced a now-standard business model of licensing third-party developers, authorizing them to produce and distribute software for Nintendo's platform. and for your information the snes out sold the sega genesis , and the 64 gave us goldeneye , which revolutionized the fps genre . your move sega fanboy.

The Nes and the Wii are two different consoles. Same developers but two different consoles. Don't confuse the two.. They are NOT the same thing. For that matter another factor is the era in between the fine lines. Nintendo may have started todays generation but the graphics and gameplay have fallen significantly behind. The physical movement was a pro but the cons outweigh the pros.

I disagree on the gameplay , its core games have never suffered gameplay wise . ill let the hardware slide because there is truth in that , but don't ever accuse them of making lackluster games.

so is a lack in taste.
so is a lack in taste.
Go swallow some Wii U if you want something with a kick.

certainly tastes better than the Microsoft Kool-Aid ...

Lol hardly a Sega fanboy. I agree with your "respect your elders" standpoint but its important to respect them all. Sega had some monumental breakthroughs but ultimately fell victim to itself with its odd marketing approach of adding onto the original genesis both with billions of add ons. It also had a lot of weird marketing schemes that left a bad taste in consumers mouths. Sega dreamcast was arguably the console that set the stage for modern gaming, but ultimately the infrastructure required for its success wasn't yet in place. On a side note I think Nintendo spent so long at the top I think they lost site and started doing there own thing. It works in its limited fanbase, but it has strayed so far from the seat of power it used to have that it really isn't taken seriously by a large percentage of the consumer and developer market. I'm really waiting for them to go the way of Sega once their fans realize they've purchased Mario, Mario cart, and Zelda for the twentieth time.
