That's the the thing, it's an 8th gen console that is only up to par with the 7th gens, and the online is lacking (even though people hate them) EA is already starting to pull out of the Wii U because it just is barely online to them. Even though Nintendo are basically the original gaming company, they are stuck in the past, and their consoles are outdated by the time they are released.
