Because
A) The Wii U is like the PSP of gaming, it might be beat, but no one plays it (because it has no games).
B) Nintendo has it's head so far up it's own rectum that they think they can ship a console that almost matches up to the last gen and still get away with it. On top of that they really aren't that kind to developers who aren't themselves. (Indie or otherwise)

Uh, no the PSP has Many great games, and it sold very well. It's release is the bad part.

I believe you (because I haven't looked for several months at it's lineup) but the only game that stood out and made me want to play on it was Guacamelee. And then I realized that I could just [i]not[/i] play it on the bus and wait until I got home to my tv and big comfy couch.
