Beta
What would you like to see in a beta for Destiny? What do you think bungie will have us do in it?

i would just like to see any type of beta really. but....... I would just want the e3 demo. it has private areas, multiple spots for public events, and most likely an area or two for multiplayer. dont forget that when the looked off the cliff in the demo they said that everything we saw was playable terrain. so really they have a beta, just no beta. the demo would be perfect, wouldnt it? it has all a beta needs

So translating that to Destiny, do something like the old russia area, with a couple of public event spaces, maybe 10 events to cycle in those spaces and one or two competitive arenas for people to drop in and out of. Core focuses would be on networking, weapon / space magic balance, loot / stat progression, competitive multiplayer balance. It's a pretty huge step for them and I would hope they take the chance to run a public beta to stress test everything.

I would love to see one. I think it would have a couple missions in regular mode (solo/campaign mode I don't really know what to call it), and then a map or two in competitive. They should set up a new forum for it like they did for Reach. I think that method worked really well.

To see if the game can handle the amount of players in one server and to see the gamers face to see how cool it is

Any beta at all, and now, heck if it was 2 minutes if the most boring part of the game I would repeatedly play it enough times to rival the the views on all Law of the Jungle videos.

1 ReplyI think it will just be public events and their competitive multiplayer options. They know the story will be fine it's gonna be the people seamlessly joining and leaving the games that they will need to text more.

5 RepliesI think it was somewhere on Game Informer that I read that Bungie will be providing early access to Destiny's BETA to PS4 users as part of their exclusive content. It was back when the game was first announced though.

In the previous Bungie Betas they always tested out the multiplayer aspect, so I doubt we get to play campaign at all.
