So when Bungie releasing Halo they had some pretty Awesome marketing campaigns like ILB, and the Iris campaign do you think that Destiny is going to have anything like that?

I hope it's on par with the Believe Campaign with H3.

Edited by RED TITAN: 5/17/2014 2:06:00 PMIt's weird right? This game comes out I'm about 4 months and no one has seen any outstanding advertisements! $500 million was in the budget for destiny. Just in comparison, marvel's "the avengers" budget was about 220 million. James Cameron's, "avatar" budget was around 230 million (according to published reports). There was literally more money put into destiny than the avengers and avatar combined! Think about that! So the question comes up, where is the advertising everyone said was going to make up the majority of that massive $$$$. Either Bungie is waiting for something really massive, or maybe everyone overestimated how much of the budget was intended for advertising and marketing... Now that's so exciting, it's almost scary.

What's Iris?
-
Alpha Lupi will return.
-
I came to b.net cos I wanted to help finish the iris ARG - that was 7 years ago.

Edited by Derkus: 5/17/2014 11:47:57 AMDepending on if they allow players to share beta footage across the net, we may do all the advertizing Destiny could need. But with the mind-numbing millions Activision has invested into this game, there's likely going to be too much advertisement by September.

Edited by paraffin alien: 5/17/2014 2:19:41 PMwithout question they will after E3 destiny will attract so much attention this year thats for sure
-
They've got $340 million dollars being thrown at advertising, I'm sure they'll blow us away.
-
I don't think Destiny even needs advertisement. We in the community have it covered. And the fact that everyone knows about it even pre-E3.
-
sure will

As Nitron pointed out, Alpha Lupi was done....I remember it well, watching it develop was pretty damn cool....I remember racing home between college and work to check for progress.
-
It would be interesting to see if they do come up with some kind of arg advertising campaign for destiny.
-
ARG's were one of the main reasons that I kept coming back here.
-
Already done.
