>muh feelings I'm sorry, but everyone regardless of anonymity, age, gender, creed, colour, sexual preferences etc will be subject to scrutiny and/or judgement throughout their lives. Having a certain genitalia between your legs doesn't magically exempt you from that because "it's mean". Grow up and get some thick skin.

  • So basically you're saying; "I'm a bully. I'm going to say what I want, WHEN I want, and if someone's feelings get hurt because of it, it's their problem, not mine. They should grow thicker skin and be less sensitive."?

Nope. Not at all. I'm saying grow up and learn to to take what life throws at you. If you can't handle a couple jerks on a video game forum, hell mend you in the real world. And remember, you are the one that unveiled their anonymity. You made your pictures public. If you can't accept the repercussions of that, then I reiterate my statement above tenfold.

This quote alone shows you didn't understand any of the points I've made in this thread, but I'm not surprised, I mean you support bullying after all.
Sorry, but I don't think anyone in real life is going to come up to me and tell me to "kill myself" or that I'm "repulsive to look at."
You're absolutely 100 percent certain on that? Because I've seen worse things being said towards people.
This quote alone shows you didn't understand any of the points I've made in this thread, but I'm not surprised, I mean you support bullying after all.
Eh I pretty much did. Unless you're speaking in cryptics. You're butthurt people (over the internet) are mean to you. That's pretty much all there is to it.

  •
Thanks for the regurgitation. And no, to repeat myself, that's not what I'm saying.
But that's exactly what you mean.
You're absolutely 100 percent certain on that? Because I've seen worse things being said towards people.
Umm.. I think I'd recall if some had made such a comment. Even myself had hung around a very hard, inconsiderate crowd during highschool, and while the things we said weren't exactly nice, they weren't half as harsh as some of the things I've heard on here. Funny really, because isn't the "popular" crowd suppose to be the mean ones?
Eh I pretty much did. Unless you're speaking in cryptics.
But that's exactly what you mean.
I think your misconstruing "There's nothing you can really do to prevent/stop this. It's shit, but it's a fact of life I'm afraid. Making a flamebait thread will not magically change things" with, "Bullying is ok."
Umm.. I think I'd recall if some had made such a comment.
Once again you're proving you have no idea what this thread was for.
A hot topic? Because if you genuinely are trying to change half this forums' behaviour at the whim of a thread, then dear god you're more dense than I thought.

Saying the victims are the ones that need to "grow up" and "get thicker skin", doesn't sound like "Yeah, it's shitty and I don't condole with such behavior, but what can we do?".
You've had it relatively easy so far. Congratulations.
Yup, I have but I didn't make this thread for myself, like you somehow believe. I have it amazing, but that doesn't mean I'm going to roll over and be fine with others being bullied or mistreated.
A hot topic?
Oh god, are you really this thick headed?

Its -blam!-ing trivial nonsense that people need to get over. MUH FEELINGS, MUH INSECURTEH.
Yup, I have but I didn't make this thread for myself, like you somehow believe. •
Verbal bullying is not bullying to me. Its -blam!-ing trivial nonsense that people need to get over. MUH FEELINGS, MUH INSECURTEH.
To YOU. Glad we got that out of the way. So you're a "tough guy"? Congrats! Want a sticker?
Good for you. Want a sticker?
Good for... me? What? Because I care for others?
Wow, top notch nitpicking there. Care to actually address the rest of what I said? Or are you unable to?
No, because for one; you're not worth my time. Two; Even if I were sit here all day and explain my point, you're still going to be acting like an ignorant jerk because clearly you have no empathy for others, and how can someone with no empathy be capable of understanding a point like the one I've addressed in the OP? You can't and you won't. So please, continue obsessing over DC comic books, or whatever it is you do on your spare time, and stop trying to argue with a point that you clearly choose not to see nor care about.

Want a sticker?
If you're trying to make the argument that being called names is equatable to having the shit kicked out of you consistently, then oh god top lels.
Good for... me? What? Because I care for others?
Over spilt milk.
No, because for one; you're not worth my time.
And yet you're still responding to me.
Two; Even if I were sit here all day and explain my point, you're still going to be acting like an ignorant jerk because clearly you have no empathy for others,
So you can't refute what I said then.
and how can someone with no empathy be capable of understanding a point like the one I've addressed in the OP?
I have empathy for those affected by serious matters. Not superficial garbage like Internet comments for Christ sake. Grow a pair.
You can't and you won't.
So give me a topic that's actually worth caring about.
So please, continue obsessing over DC comic books, or whatever it is you do on your spare time, and stop trying to argue with a point that you clearly choose not to see nor care about.
>tries Ad Hominem, implying that DC Comics are frivolous to obsess over >Is a Marvel pleb >Is on a gaming forum Sure is contradictory around here.

So, it's us that need to "grow up" for being offended at taking personal shit instead of the immature pricks with absolutely 0% respect for people (females especially) that they'll carry into their adulthood? Damn son, flawless logic. Being yourself, even on the internet, is not a crime. Showing your face, or even your body, also, is not a crime. Neither deserves any kind of punishment if you're not being directly invasive to others. Just like acting yourself or showing your face in public is perfectly reasonable, along with expecting at least some form of manners from others in regards to yourself. What then makes others feel that they have the right to express an unwanted or unrequested, disrespectful opinion or critique, when we're not out to do anything other than display a presence of personality? The same goes for the internet. Just backing out and giving the "people are like that, they won't stop, just deal with it" excuse is nothing short of cowardly. We haven't done anything remotely wrong, and we don't deserve the kind of blatant disrespect and abuse that we receive, and turning a blind eye solves fuck all except making the people who support that stance feel falsely accomplished. You haven't helped at all, and just saying "well you should expect that response and deal with it or just avoid interacting completely" is just as impotent and cowardly as the other excuse. Being an unwarranted dick shouldn't be excused, FOR ANY REASON, least of all for just innocently expressing a personality. Yes, girls exist on the internet. Yes, it's unusual in male-dominated places. No, that doesn't give you the right to be a complete scumbag, especially directly to her. Grow some balls and empathy, point out that people are being total dickbags, because it's only the lack of repercussions from anyone that make them feel entitled to be personally disrespectful. That's all you need to do.

To reiterate Foman, trying to change their behavior by posting a thread is an exercise in futility. Best thing to do is just disdain them and use that magical little mute button.
Being yourself, even on the internet, is not a crime. Showing your face, or even your body, also, is not a crime. Like honestly, what did Felicia expect to happen when she made this thread? That all the testosterone jacked twats will suddenly grow a conscious over an anonymous website and start respecting her? Get real.
The same goes for the internet. Just backing out and giving the "people are like that, they won't stop, just deal with it" excuse is nothing short of cowardly. Trying to magically make everything go away whilst expecting everyone to treat you with courtesy isn't exactly setting you up for the real world. I understand she's a grown adult, but to be quite honest, she's acting like a 5 year old chucking her toys out the pram. Ignore, report and move on. That's what the rest of us do. She doesn't magically get a hall pass because her "feewings are hurt".

  • Actually it does. If someone makes a brash or hurtful comment I suck it up, don't give them the satisfaction, and ignore it. If it's a genuine critique of my opinions/appearance I welcome it gladly, whether it be positive or negative.

  • I meant with other people. I take it you're the kind of person who excuses bullying too?

  • I suppose things like verbal bullying are somewhat superficial to me. Physical bullying to me, is where the real crime is being perpetrated.
