I'm not trying to fight it. I've accepted it long ago, and if I was truly hurt and dissatisfied with it, I wouldn't be here. However that isn't keeping me from trying to understand such poor attitudes.

Anonymity, pretty much why. If they where speaking to you, they would probably not even think about saying it. But, on the internet, no one knows who they are, so they can spew all the crap they want without doing harm to themselves.
