Let me find a quote real quick from Scroobius Pip. "I find this interesting 'cause in the end they are just words. You give them power when you cower, man, it's so absurd." I'm no where near perfect, and have a few insecurities myself, but they really are just words. The only time they should 'hurt' you is when they're from someone you're really close to.

But words have meanings.. I mean, it's how we communicate. How much they effect you depends on the person, but I don't think we can simply choose the amount it does. If that was the case I'd choose to never be sad, but unfortunately that's not how it works.
The only time they should 'hurt' you is when they're from someone you're really close to.
I agree with this.
How much they effect you depends on the person, but I don't think we can simply choose the amount it does.
I'll agree with you on that. For me, I don't care about random people so what they have to say doesn't bother me at all. Yes, this is a dick thing to say, but for me it's true. For you, you seem like a genuine person, so I can see where you're coming from.

Edited by Felicia402: 7/18/2013 11:53:27 PMOn the internet, not so much for myself either, although I suppose this thread implies otherwise. It's not the point if they actually hurt someone or not, but the fact they're aware they could just stuns me by such cruelness. I just worry what they say could possibly hurt someone. I know the difference but not everyone do, and it saddens me to know they may cause a person's depression or insecurity.
