I think you do. Bodyweight alone can't build you the same physique as lifting, and if it can then certainly not in the same time frame.

I didn't mean being overweight. You need fat to protect your muscles so you don't injure yourself.

If you're at least 8% bodyfat you're fine. I'm probably sitting at 11/12% right now, started bulking again last week and so not as defined as I was. Aiming for 185lbs by September.
