I'm not sure if Halo takes place before Destiny, but even if it doesn't, I would love to see a warthog, a scorpion, or even a mongoose in the game just for kicks.

*Sniff*... Smells like troll? Smells like troll...
-
Lol the plots are totally separate mate ;)
-
As an Easter egg. Not as an actual part of the game.

Edited by Crimson Thomas: 11/13/2013 1:53:43 PMI think that coming across an old, half-buried Warthog (too weathered to see "UNSC" but any Halo fan would immediately recognize the frame) would be awesome. It would be even better if your Ghost made a comment on the sight, saying something like, "Now this is a relic...from a more innocent time."
-
I think it would be cool as an Easter egg, but you couldn't ride the vehicles
-
Bungie does not own Halo anymore, 343 took it and made it into shit.
-
References to past Bungie games is great and all, but Destiny takes place in a completely separate universe than that of the Halo series, and probably never had a UNSC (at least, not in the form that we understand it from Halo).
-
More people picked the refrence thing D: LAME.... I for one would love to see this since destiny is more so in the future from halo
-
Getting a little annoyed by the constant desperation by halo fans to have any small link to halo in destiny . This is destiny not the borderlands series , where sublime, cute ,and snarky references can be brandied about in earnest , it would not fly in this game like it does borderlands.
-
*sigh*
-
Maybe a reference (like the golden warthog) but nothing drivable.
-
I think it would make a cool Easter Egg, seeing all kinds of old UNSC vehicles laying around that don't work
-
WARTHOG!!
-
Edited by ROV1C: 11/13/2013 1:29:05 AMI think a mongoose should be put in very rusty and barely recognizable, as an easter egg.

Edited by UphillMercury: 11/12/2013 10:55:07 PMFrom a canonical standpoint, the UNSC as we know it has nearly all of its technology originating, at its earleist, in the latter half of the 25th century. Comparatively, Destiny takes place in the 22nd century ( if I recall correctly) in a different universe, meaning that any known UNSC technology would not exist, both canonically and chronologically.
-
No, buuuut a few Easter eggs, i think yes!
-
Edited by COW GUY: 11/13/2013 12:21:56 AMEven though they take place in different universes,It would be really cool to drive a rocket-thog or warthog and splatter a fallen, then cruise through the countryside. And to fly a falcon or a pelican over the wall of the city to a remote jungle. Hover in said jungle just above the ground, and deploy/pick up a FIRETEAM that is surrounded.
-
The UNSC never existed in the Destiny world.
-
Edited by Rodent of Unusual Size: 11/12/2013 8:44:40 PMI doubt Destiny is in the same universe all together, but it would be cool to see hints of Halo. -edit- old post my apologies.
-
It would be cool if they added a destroyed Warthog or something as a easter egg but no drivable UNSC vehicles.
-
Edited by Apotheosis: 11/12/2013 7:51:40 PMIt's a completely different universe. That being said, a few Halo easter eggs here and there would be cool, but nothing so blatant as a Scorpion sitting somewhere. Edit: Ignore, didn't realize how old this was.
-
Maybe as props for a movie that never got made...

Destiny is set in it's own universe. But there might be some similarities in the vehicles. Like the Pike resembling the Ghost.

You and hopefully everyone else that keeps posting all this stuff about put this in from Halo will eventually realize that Bungie does not own anything that has to do with Halo anymore. Microsoft owns the IP and all rights to everything Halo.
