(For the unknowning QTE means quick time event. I.E. button appears on screen, you press button)
Whether on B.net or elsewhere, it seems that there is a growing trend. More and more gamers are beginning to hate quick time events. My first experience with the QTE was in Shenmue for the Dreamcast and I've played countless games that include QTE. I, personally, have never had a problem with them. In most cases, the QTE helps with the story telling. My question is why do people hate QTE so much now?

If used very lightly, I like them. Like in Gears of War and that one scene in Halo 4. Those are ok scenarios. But when a game like Ryse comes up where it's literally playing the game for you...just...no. I want to actually play my game, thank you very much.
