I'm extremely lazy and don't care about my appearance. As long as I'm healthy and look presentable, that's good enough for me.

You should care about your appearance at that age. You're nearly a man.

But why? I'm okay with looking utterly forgettable.

Your choice. Don't be mad when you lose out on job applications to the more self-conscious man time and time again.

Not caring about my appearance doesn't necessarily mean I never do anything to spiffy myself up. I do try to look classy and respectable, especially for important occasions, but I don't really feel like going out of my way to look the best I can be all the time. If that's your thing that's your thing and more power to you, but it isn't mine.
