Would you rather go back in time and visit your ancestors, or go forward in time and visit your descendants?
By back in time, I mean a couple hundred years; same thing for going forward in time
I think this is a tough question. If you go back in time you can see how or why you do the things you do, or have the things you have. Or if you go forward in time you can see what your descendants have picked up on from you, and see how they're doing.
What would you do, if given the choice?
-
if such thing were possible... i would offer my ancestor the choice of going to the future and my descendands the choice of going to the past while i'm left with no choice
-
Foward in time. It is too dangerous to came back in time, and I don't want to create a paradox.
-
Go back in time and fix all of my mistakes.
-
1. Go forward in time. 2. Meet descendant. 3. Ask descendant about companies that will go big in the future. 4. Go back in time. 5. Invest in companies. 6. Get rich. 7. Spend rest of life in prison for insider trading.
-
Forward, definitely.
-
Depends. If I can leave money to myself in the past, I'd go back. If not, I'd want to see how big of pussies we're all going to be in 2313.
-
Well seeing as I already know the summary of the past chapter's of human existence, and am I quite well versed in the chapter in which my life takes place, I will have to say I would prefer to go forward in time because everyone wants to find out what happens after the cliffhanger.
-
This is heavy.
-
Back in time. The time when we I can actually live the past to see how the world was before it was shaped today would be inconceivable to me. And I get to see the uprising of jazz music :-)
-
I'd maybe rather go forward in time because I want to be able to have indoor plumbing.
-
Future... Go forward, learn recent history, return and do what would be best for my descendants.
-
I didn't read the OP and voted Back in Time. Cause Dinosaurs. But I take my vote back.
-
Forward. I'd love to see how much farther humanity has progressed in that time. Assuming I can come back if I want.
-
Forward in time.
Half-Life 3 is mine!!!
-
Forward, I'm Jewish, and in history, it was not s good thing really..... Brutal, but if you go forward and find apocalypse, you could get really depressed
-
Back in time. I don't want to know what the future will be like.
-
I am torn between witch to choose. Going back would be cool to meet my old relatives and see how life was like back then. Going to the future would be cool to see what coming up.
-
I was going to say back in time to prevent Dimebag from being killed, but it says a couple hundred years... With that, I'll say future. Shoot me forward, I'd like to see where humanity sits.
-
If I can return, I'd go back in time. I'd love to see if I had any ancestors fight in the Crusades.
-
Neither, honestly. Neither sound appealing to me. I'm in love with the present moment. I couldn't even imagine it any other way.
-
Back in time with some memorized numbers and some instructions for some family members. Oh yeah you're all getting Transforming Warthogs and jump jets on the Scorpion.
-
Do we get to return? Or is this more of a "look into a scrying ball" sort of experience than a physical "I'm in the past messin with your timeline!" thing?
-
Forward. Wouldn't want to create a paradox, and I could see how things would pan out and figure the right choices to make.
-
I'm already going forward in time.
-
Forward because I want to see what happens to the earth hundreds of years from now.
-
Think about it. You can go back in time and buy all of the apple and google' stocks, work at a game company and tell secrets, and do awesome stuff such as harlem shake dance! Be a hipster before they were cool! Who wants to go into the future and become unpredictable?
