I've noticed a lack of discussion about the Chain Of Command system in Destiny. Now, I'm not exactly talking about a Mayor or President, I'm talking about a Commanding Officer in the field. If Destiny has any large-scale battles (which it most likely will with the new XBox One system being able to support many more players per multiplayer session), how will we coordinate our battles? Will it be a cluster-blam!- mess of a Big Team Battle like most other console multiplayers? Or will there be someone who's job it is to oversee our battles, giving advice on tactics from a distance? (Something like Commander in BF4) Will this overseer be a player? An AI? A Bungie Rep.?
From what I can get from Bungie, they want to make a game to bring everyone together on a fantastic adventure, where you live to work together and work together to live. A chain of command system like this could bring us together.
If there is a system like this, how would it work? Would you have to obey orders, and get penalized for disobeying them? Would it be mandatory or voluntary to serve under a commander?

There will not be a system like this. This is not Natural Selection 2 where someone jumps in the command chair and plays a strategy game instead of an FPS (Interesting concept though) and, more importantly, I certainly won't be listening to someone giving advice or orders. I'll do what I want, when I want, even if it gets me killed. Penalty for disobeying orders? This isn't a Mil-Sim either. Now, rank in Destiny would be interesting to discuss, but I'll be damned if there is a penalty system for ranks.
