Is Lady Gaga correct in saying "Baby, you were born that way?" Or do you think its a choice?
Personally, I think its both. I believe there are some who choose, and those that do not. I think biological gays vastly outnumber the ones who choose, though.

Edited by halo: 7/26/2013 8:38:37 PMBeing gay is not a choice. Which is why it was diagnosed as a mental disorder until gays said that was offensive in the 70s so they took that out as an official mental illness. There's nothing wrong with being gay, but it's definitely not a choice, and if given the choice, I bet most people would be straight. Which is why it is a mental disorder. Also, being attracted to the same sex is not normal, you can't reproduce or have sex (other than putting your penis in a orifice made for the excrement of feces). Mental disorder has a negative connotation but it's not meant to be taken that way. Also when I say it's not normal I don't mean it negatively either. All humans do shit that isn't normal.

I don't see why anyone would choose to be gay.

It's a choice. I mean seriously, give me a break. Why would you be born gay when nature intended it to be just a man and a woman? That's just stupid and makes absolutely no sense. Only a man and a woman can create offspring just as mother nature intended and if anyone thinks otherwise (and I know there are a few people on this forum that think this) then you are truly the biggest fool on this rock.

No straight person has ever woken up thinking "You know what? I feel like dicks today".
-
Both.

Is your sexuality a choice of yours? It's the same for gays.
-
Why not ask a gay person?

Definitely a choice
I chose to be straight last week actually
probably biological. but who the -blam!- cares. I am straight, but I could start being gay tomorrow and say that I have always been that way. and nobody could prove otherwise.

Edited by Elrond Hubbard: 7/25/2013 9:48:30 PMWhy would any choose a life of legal and social discrimination, rejection by friends and family, fear for one's own physical safety, and inability to naturally procreate with their partner?

Biological. I can't choose to be gay, they can't choose to be straight.

OP is dumb

Choice.

Neither, it's a preference.

^^ Choice.

I'm not sure if it's a gene, but I do know it's not a choice. If you think that it's a choice then try this, choose to be attracted to a cockroach. Get a boner/ wet by staring at the belly of a cockroach.

Is falling in love a choice or biological?

Both. It's a problem that can be corrected with a choice.
