They are [i]fourteen[/i] years old. You're saying that [i]children[/i] should be treated as if they have the reasoning, comprehension, and life experience of a full-grown adult. That's absurd, it's insane, it's [i]wrong[/i], and you know it.
Granted, if a 14-year-old is a murderer at such a young age, I can't imagine them turning their life around after that point in their life, no matter what happens to them after that. I'm not saying that a kid like that should be let off the hook--they absolutely should not, in the name of justice--but we shouldn't have some witch hunt against an entire demographic just because one kid turned out to be a certifiable psychopath.
