I know, I know, Battle Royale and all that stuff.
Anyway, what do you guys think of a Hunger Games style game? 12 people start off in a randomly generated area with no weapons or food or anything, and they have to fight each other off until one survives. You could upgrade your skills throughout your career in the game, but only the top few people earn upgrade points after each game. Things you can upgrade could include survival skills, likability (to get sponsors,) ranged weapon skills, close quarters weapons skills, overall athleticism, and so on. You would never be able to upgrade what physical items you went into a new game with, though. That's always the same for each player. I think maps would have to be random so no one could get an advantage over other players who are new to the terrain.

I want to make a Hunger Games kind of game.

I've always thought about this, you could set up your character from different districts to have strengths and weaknesses. And maybe preferences with certain weapons, but during the days of training you could decide what to train and work on. And there would be a multitude of things to do before the hunger game itself, I'm tired so I'm not going to go into details. When ready you would be sent into a multiplayer match, where it would randomize maps, maybe even certain rules. And BOOM, you live? You get to keep the character for the next game. You die? Restart and try again. Rock hard, but VERY rewarding.

I play Minecraft with a specific server of about 200 people that regularly play. They do Minecraft-Hunger games. I am not very good, and I have never one. I came in third once. :( one day I will be Champion. The maps are big, and sometimes they run monsters on highest difficulty and sometimes they do peaceful for your skill level. I like the monsters as it makes it interesting. The matches last only an hour or two at most, but it is fun to be at the edge as you harvest for supplies and such.

Minecraft. Many servers already have this. Much fun.

You mean Battle Roya- ...You bastard.

Since I've responded the exact same way to the past 3 posts of this, I'm gonna keep up my streak. A game about children killing each other. That'll be a smash hit for the media!

Edited by TigerTitan: 12/17/2013 7:11:18 AMIf you have a PC, Rust is a similar game to your idea. It's a game about survival, but all the players start off naked with nothing and they have to be careful of other players. It's a great idea and it's an early access game on Steam so it's a work in progress, but it will continue to be supported and improved.

i like it its cool

There's a Halo reach custom gametype that pulled it off pretty well. Could make an awesome game though.

Minecraft

I was just thinking this the other day. It would be fun if they could actually make it work right with competitive matchmaking
-
I would honestly like a game like that where you can create your own character, be put into a district, and matchmake into different games.
-
Sounds like halo 4. Kill enough people and call in ordnance pretty much

I have been thinking a game like this should come out for a while. I do enjoy battle royale but I could see a better version coming. I would try it for sure

What about Battle Roy...
I know, I know, Battle Royale and all that stuff.
How about from that book were you could play as the haunted and have only a knife but you can create traps and the hunter with only a pistol and hound dogs

Sounds like a good idea. I'd play it.
