We're being pushed, how hard will we push back?

It seems to be that in the first installment of Destiny humanity is getting up off of their asses and will be gaining a foot hold after being knocked to the ground. Once humanity is able to push back; how hard do you think they'll push? Will they try to have diplomatic relations with the other alien races? Or will they try to push them to extinction? PS. On my phone currently, I'll add more depth once I am on my computer.

  • I think in this first game we won't really be "pushing back" so to speak. It seems like a big theme in this game is going to be exploration and discovery. This makes me think that in the first game the guardians will be acting more like a Vanguard, going out and gathering intel, probing the enemies defenses for weaknesses, unraveling our past, etc. I'm thinking it will be more like the necessary prelude to the inevitable conflict that will eventually come.
