Marathon Infinity HD Player Sprites

(The first minute is info about the update, and the next 10 are two films of games FCAW played last week with the patch applied. Watch in HD... because that's the point.) Edit: Drop Box Link. Edit: Simplici7y is back up. So me and some other guys on the P'fhorums have been working on an update to the Marathon Infinity plugin that gives you XBLA HD Enemies so that it also brings the HD multiplayer sprites into the game. This included making new sprites for the SMG. Unfortunately, just as we were getting close, the P'fhorums and Simplici7y crashed yet again, and most of the team had no other way to communicate. Fortunately, I had the e-mail of the main person I'd been working with, and we continued to work on it over e-mail. It was getting mad 1995 up in here; I almost made an AOL account so it would be really vintage. Anyways, we have a plugin that works now, so that's exciting! There's more info in the video, but we don't really have a great way to get it to you right now. To limit traffic (yeah, I doubt there will be much, but it's not my site so I'm being cautious), I'm only posting the link in FCAW for now, but you can PM me if you're morally opposed to joining for some reason... If you've been waiting to get into Marathon, now would be a great time! You can get Marathon for free here (don't worry; Bungie made it Open-source, and this is the closest thing to an official source there is). The current version of Marathon Infinity has all the HD upgrades except this one. To install it, download it and then extract it to your plugins folder. For Carnage Apply Within will be playing tomorrow at 6pm, and we'll likely be on for 3-5 hours. As I note in the video, there are 1400 sprites in this patch, and we've already found a few that lost their transparency somewhere along the way. If you guys could play with us on Friday, it would likely help us find any errors that are remaining.

 • Second video. Shows the final product (all errors should be fixed), and it's on a map/gametype that shows off the models better.
