I haven't gotten paid yet so I can't pick up any weights or anything and I would like to start on building muscle or at least working out at home. So what are some good workouts I can do?
Also do protein shakes and stuff like that work or should I not even bother getting them?

What if you just joined a gym? That's what i did. I have no personal experience with drinking protein shakes on a daily basis so i couldn't tell you. But i imagine that they work to some extent if you incorporate it properly with the right diet i imagine.
