I haven't gotten paid yet so I can't pick up any weights or anything and I would like to start on building muscle or at least working out at home. So what are some good workouts I can do?
Also do protein shakes and stuff like that work or should I not even bother getting them?

Just get a gym membership. Trust me you will not be motivated enough to actually work out from home and buying weights and such will just be a waste of your time and money.
