Why does the English alphabet even need the letter C, when we could just use k or s? I mean, C makes the sound of both k and s, so why even include C in the alphabet? Or we can just eliminate k and s and have the super letter c. Actually, why not just have c, and that's it, no other letters are needed, just C.

Why do we have "X" when the sounds it makes can be replaced with "ks" or "z"? Why does "ch,""th,"and "sh" make their own sounds when they can just be independent letters? Answer: English is stupid.
