So I picked up the Australian Gameinformer today on my travels and noticed an interview with Harold Ryan (Bungie President) within its pages.
I found the last 2 questions quite interesting.
How far can we travel in our spaceship? Are we stuck to the solar system?
I wouldn't use the word "stuck," but it takes a lot of effort to build those gameplay spaces and make them dynamic. We have shown a lot of planets, but we haven't yet said which ones you are going to go to in the first year of Destiny. We're going to provide a rich and full experience that will expand over time.

So rather than releasing a Destiny 2 or Destiny 3 the game will just expand?
We absolutely think of Destiny as an evolving growing world - it's alive. Its a place you go and visit. A place you belong to; a place where you can hang out with your friends and share experiences.
So it sounds like the DLC and sequels will unlock and expand new areas/planets while still preserving the older content. I thought that was quite interesting. I wonder if we will still be able to view all the planets on the map from the start - even though we won't be able to visit....bare in mind it's all a bit vague, I'm just thinking aloud.

Edited by Stormy: 8/5/2013 5:47:17 PMHere is what I think. - Buy Destiny 1 -Buy DLC and get a moon or two with new missions.(and all the little fun stuff with it :D) - Buy Destiny 2 - This adds on to Destiny 1 - New planets, your character extends to the next game, new missions, storyline NPC characters, guns, and once again all the other little fun stuff :D. - To the point By Destiny 4 the whole solar system will be open to play in. ( I hope)
