The mute button is broken.
The problem with the mute button is there is not enough incentive to push. What we need is sound effect options for when we use it. Anywhere from explosions, to whips, to gunshots, and to even sarcastic sayings. It would get people to want to use it more. Plus it would make using the mute button just that much more satisfying. #pleasediscussandthankyou

This needs to happen every time so we can imagine that it is the scream of the person we have muted, yelling in despair.
