The show seems to be stepping up the language and innuendos they use. Like the other night I could have sworn that I heard the Ice King say "I've been working my moobs(or boobs) for a lot longer than you have pal!" Along with a lot of other instances of really creepy stuff happening, like the Lemongrad episode where they are adventuring through the castle, and it's basically a living being so there's juices and fluids everywhere, and some pretty creepy stuff loitering around inside it.
That's also discounting the time when I swear that I heard the Princess say fu-ck as clear as day, though I replayed that section a few times to make sure I heard it right, and every time it sounded like she just said the mother of all curses on a Kids Channel.
Anyone else noticing these trends?

Edited by Alice Glass: 8/15/2013 2:51:24 AMRemember that both the creators of Adventure Time and Regular show worked on The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack before. so this really shouldn't be that surprising
#oddthoughts
Sorry it's not wholesome enough for you Ned Flanders -_-
-
I like the show.

Edited by Vien 'Quitonm: 8/14/2013 11:36:53 PMSo this show has references to certain organs and vulgar words... This show reminds me of the older version of Cartoon Network. As for the Regular Show, it was literally an acid trip at start. (Shown above)

Regular Show is better

Edited by KilljoyDetective: 8/14/2013 10:41:47 PMOkay it just got even weirder, this episode is animated differently, and so near the beginning, PB cocked a gun. Later starts aggressively making out with her hand, tongue and all, and it's just...*scratches head* Edit: Then an imaginary person on each of their hands, Jake's and PB's, starts talking to each other and making out too...

You don't even know man. I'm absolutely in love with that show, it's literally my childhood, in a weird fantastical and fictional way.
-
Pretty sure PB says funk, not -blam!-. The two get mixed a lot.
-
Adventure Time strongly reminds me of the original Cartoon Network.
-
You're acting as if this is the only show to ever have done that.
-
i find these improvements very good

Edited by The Tempun: 8/14/2013 9:35:34 PMThere's an episode where finn clearly is suppose to be hinted at having a wet dream about flame princess and wanting it to happen again. I mean, What is liking his pants being on fire with a girl suppose to mean? Someone clearly wanted an episode about sex and how someone blew it by pushing the girl too far into it.

when did princess bubble gum curse? I am curious now :U
-
Yeah, that's why I like it though. It seems like these things are too subtle for the kids to notice, but obvious enough to teenagers and adults that the show is still good.
-
They're using adult humor in a subtle way that little kids won't pick up on. That's part of the reason I enjoy that show.
-
and that's why I like it.
-
Maybe they're trying to appeal to their adult/teenage audience more.
